Airport conversations: Tom Berge

The Upper Midwest -- Minnesota, specifically -- is one of the hotbeds of RV airplane building; it certainly ranks with Texas and the Pacific Northwest. And there, everyone who knows RVs, knows Tom Berge.
Tom has built two RVs, and he certainly enjoys flying his RV-7A and visiting the world that a good experimental airplane opens up to us, but he also has found a love for helping other RV builders.
In the first (of what I hope will be many) "airport conversations", Tom and I discuss his RV-building history, tips for the RV builders, and the motivation to keep going.
Here's the audio in mp3 format. It is not on a streaming server so it's best to right-click, download to your own computer and then either play it or load it into an iPod.
This story appeared in the May 30, 2009 issue of the RV Builder's Hotline.
